Well lets see they just hired a new safety guy and a dispatcher to do Canada Fleet to go with the other dispatcher and customer service person they already had. Granted for awhile Portland was handling things in the AM on the weekends and several people got moved or canned but now when you call it says Seattle division not Portland and Knight does consider it a Terminal or service center as they call them.

I personally know 3 drivers who work out of the Seattle terminal all for over 2 years. They had a 28% turn over rate last year and half of that was do to firings . Do you really think they would still be there if they where running a 1000 miles a week? :biggrin_25526:

OTR company's like Knight are bad enough that you don't need to exaggerate the facts.

Really. I wonder where they are hiding then. Nobody was around when I was through there just a little while ago. Doesn't help Portland looks like Unkle Kevin's Used Trucks sales lot. But other than the bordercrossers, I didn't see anything special in Tukwila. And some of the people I've talked to in the 19th fleet have been dispatched out of Portland since forever, they didn't know they used to have dispatchers in that little mobile home in Tukwila, which means they are new.

Nobody, out of the nine years I've been driving, got me as bad as Knight did. SOB I have never had to fight like I did in my life for $15 dollars here, a day of layover there, maybe a few hundred miles over the weekend etc. You think your terminal manager is a lieing pos....###### driver you ain't seen nothing until you've seen the hand picked punk I dealt with. SOB ! Knight is the absolute worst in the business. It'll catch up to them and when it does the others will be there to haul their freight. Nothing more than a cheap labor factory, nothing more.

How many of you guys ever got sucker punched into a Macys load out of Minook Il ? The moron they had running that show, what a piece of work he is. Two days for one junk load ruined every time you got roped into that crap. The third time I told my DM "ima gonna f this load up !" He never whored me out to them again. How pathetic is that ? That Knight reduces drivers to their level of filthy dirty tactics. You lie and steal from a driver and this is what happens. Hell is much to good a place these filthy rotten people. Thinking back at what I gave them and how they treated me really burns me. Best day of my life was my last day there.

since going express, i have a new dispatcher who is truly dedicated to keeping his drivers moving. he works 6 days not because he's told to. he works 6 because he doesn't want his drivers to be screwed over by the weekend crew that is too lazy to check the load boards, and other things. compared to my old dispatcher (who was volun-TOLD to work the night shift), this one is a blessing. i average more than 1900mi per week, get ALL my extra pay without having to ask/beg, and i can tell this guy "no" without having to argue about why i've declined the load.

there's a real crappy-okay run between dawn, tx and plainview. it's a transfer run between grain mills. they're cake runs, too, and pay an extra $150 per transfer run. i did three of those runs in one day and got paid for all of it. if it had been under my old dispatcher, the lil' sob would have cheated me out of the extra pay.

my current dispatcher is very dedicated, and too bad he doesn't get the recognition from the office heads. seems they only care about the new mor(m)ons who are straight outta the fraternity/sorority house.

the only part i wasn't being sarcastic about were the bits about my dispatcher. after my grandmother died, i kept having to go through the others and they refused to transfer me over to my current. they knew he'd pull me off that load and approve the deadhead down from snowflake. his extension line wasn't working for nearly 2 months. they've recently gotten it fixed. 1900mi is much better than what i WAS getting with the old one, and all the extra pay does actually help while having crappy weeks with low mileage.

the other 4 days, by the way, are spent watching and critiquing lesbian pr0n movies.

I did a few of those shuttle loads 3.14. They just paid me milage though. Had they given me the 150 though, well they could just shove up their tightwad rear ends. Good consistant solid miles are how you survive in this game. Ya hear that Knight ? Ah of course you don't you clueless, sick, sadistic, lieing, scheming, conieving, ######. Would somebody please kill them before they ruin this industry all together.

Remember drivers, everytime you "do this for an empty" God kills a kitten.
