How was it loaded? Driven on or dropped? Sheesh...I don't see how you could have done that with just chaining down, unless it was damaged prior and you didn't catch it?

You should check with the trailer manufacturer to see how many lbs/sq’ that decking is rated for before you roll any more big machines on there. It seems whatever a 39k fork-lift puts on its tire foot print is over that.

Put the heavy front wheels on a crossmember is something I would consider.

That’s a lot of weight on a small area. Especially the counterweight over 2 small tires.

Probably 12,000 to 15,000 pounds over a 6 inch wide by 3-4 inch tire print and that’s one tire out of two under the counter weight.

Would’ve busted a wooded floor trailer too if the wood is old or thin enough. Had to repair a 5 axle flatbed wood floor after a heavy forklift drove on.

What you did wrong was load it on a trailer that was never designed to haul a forklift that heavy. Also you should have cut some 1” plywood and laid it down. It would have spread the weight out and not tore up your equipment. Classic case of in over your head. Lesson learned

Yup - 10k - assuming 40k machine on 4 points - you'd want to spread the weight rather than have a 6" square footprint times four. Especially on aluminum.

Don't know where you are located. Wayne's tank and trailer repair in Gary indiana is an authorized reitnouer repair point. They fix and have done an excellent job repairing our reitnouers back to new condition.
