I have actually looked at Keen, but for the hassle of running a 3 or 4 axle truck with a heavy, they don't pay what you'd expect. Heck, all I have to do here is throw a load lock on a load and make sure the reefer doesn't quit (plus put up with all the nannying and micromanaging)and I can clear $90k here. They say their 3 axle division makes up to $88k. You'd think they'd pay better to handle their stuff.

So many memories today. Final is all the way in Pasadena,TX and I passed so many refinerys that I picked up as well as delivered too when I worked tanker at Schneider.
Got to the customer at 9am for a 11am appointment. They then tell me that no appointment was set for this load and that it will be a work in. I was like oh great....just had to be my home load....but then they had a no show for the 930 spot so I got put in.
Very nice lineage place where you just back in and they will open your doors on the inside.
Good place so far.Itsbrokeagain, wulfman75, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah Keen is the mega of heavy haul, and in my opinion their equipment is crappy given how long they expect you to be out.
They’re a great gateway to true heavy haul if that’s what you’re looking for, but beyond that I’d give them a pass…JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
You wouldn't be happy at Keen. Too much free labor involved. 4axle trucks are percentage, but if you're not in the "chosen" you will be disappointed.
Itsbrokeagain, Lonesome and supersnackbar Thank this. -
They are a small sleeper for my taste, but at least they're not a Freightliner
Winnyf1 Thanks this. -
Percentage is definitely a no go. That's the one thing that has kept me from going over to work with @Winnyf1 at Kivi...getting $0 to deadhead untold miles as a company driver is as bad as door slamming companies not paying like they should for detention or breakdown.

Lol yeah but so long as the weekly pay works out, and I don’t have the nagging you have to put up with
.
The biggest problem here for you would be the health insurance cost would likely be higher than what you get now, from what I recall you guys have a pretty competitive deal there.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Yeah, it's one good thing about this place. I think I am paying less here than when we were at MagnumWinnyf1 Thanks this.

This weeks helpful tech tip. When dealing with customers like Interstate where you do you communicating via your cell phone, or US Cold Storage where you have to sign on your phone or a touch screen(with your finger), if you have pudgy fingers like mine, one of these makes your signature more readable
It's a universal finger tip stylus that works with captive or passive touchscreens and is a lot more accurate than your fingerwulfman75, Ralph4159, motocross25 and 2 others Thank this.
