Black rain, must have went through Chicago.
Dave_in_AZ and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Seems the combo didn't, yet, make it to CDLLIFE.COM, or maybe it slid off the screen.
Wondering if WE'll read about an incident with some State D.O.T. or Full Grown Bear, in a rain suit, doing a well lubed roadside inspection!?
Wonder If "Driver" "skated away on the thin slick in a new way". (With Apologies To Jethro Tull)
CHEERS!!Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Must be a pre-emission truck. If she had a DPF it'd probably be throwing flames.
Concorde and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Ah, it’s just an old 318 Detroit.

Had that happen to me once but it wasn’t blowing out the stacks
It was blowing out the dipstick tube
guy in a new white Cadillac kept honking and waving and I finally pulled over and he told me my truck was leaking oil
dude didn’t even get mad that his new car was covered in it .God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
Pretty cool, really. He knew he could wash his car, but you can't "wash" a blown engine. Helping the trucker was his priority.

that much oil on the outside of the engine...?
Nope. Not soon enough. -
This was years ago and on a Sunday .
I pull over and there’s no oil on the dipstick
The guy even took me to a nearby auto parts store that was open on sundays . 30 years ago in the rural south , not many auto parts stores were open on Sunday .
Was my fault , i was driving an old rig with 1.3 million on the engine and you had to keep a bungee cord on the dipstick , the engine was so worn out that when the turbo boost built up good it would pop the stick out of the tube and then blow the oil out .
Engine had low compression on one cylinder that wouldn’t fire when the engine was first cranked up . But it would blow perfect smoke rings when that cylinder tried to fire as it warmed up . Used a gallon of oil every tank of fuel .
the engine finally ran away and blew up a few months later ,
The nut that held the turbo impeller to the shaft came off and got sucked in and destroyed the turbo , and then without the bearing , the oil line feeding the turbo was sending enough oil for the engine to run away and explode onto the pavement .
I used to have one of the pistons , well half of a piston and the bent connecting rod it was still attached to .God prefers Diesels and Last Call Thank this. -
Could be blown turbo too. Seen one go full Vesuvius through the stack.
God prefers Diesels and Last Call Thank this.
