Explain the situation to someone, maybe another driver and ask to borrow their phone to make a call. Your boss will probably answer the call as your number won't be showing up on his caller ID. Tell him where the truck is and to come and get it. Text him the same thing from your phone. Then clean out your truck and good luck in your new job.

I agree with Chinatown.postponing will be much better than abandoning the truck. People with that on record usually don’t get hired.

Question for you how far away from the terminal are you? Did I understand you correctly they put you on another load? If it were me I would take truck back it terminal clean out truck get in personal vehicle and leave. I would not pick up any loads for them, you e turned in your notice now get the truck back and be done.

I know nothing about western express but I have heard of companies try to black ball drivers. Just be sure to have everything well documented and like the one fella said check in a month or so and see if they placed again marks against you. I’m guessing if you take truck back to terminal they will not but if you don’t I’m sure they will.

Just get the load delivered/ turn the truck in - settle your payments and say good riddance to bad rubbish
Don’t rush into the new job till you settle everything with this old company- you don’t want this to come back and haunt you. Detail all the conversations, names and times you have with the old company
    Patience -

If they are as described than as drivers I hope you’ve learned your lesson as far as working for junk ### companies. My husband and I worked at 2 companies before starting our own business and both companies still call us especially around peak season just to be sure we are not interested in coming back to work for them. So naturally we worked for decent places. The new company you are going to work for I hope that is a decent company for you all.

Contact new employer, update them, leave pos truck in the shop, say it’s in for repairs and leave.
