Though Stacey - to himself, and maybe to others - thinks he 'rambles' , it's a rambling story with a lot of sense in there.

Verizon got annoyed at my "unlimited" usage, so I have to wait a day or so to upload the rest of it.

 

Sent it off last week, Damage assessment came back at $185 for my lack of control.

Paid the bill, awaiting the return.

DJI drone company thus far is pretty top notch in customer service.

 

This last week I've been dealing with end of life planning for her father. It's about time, after almost a year with us, that he moves to a care facility. Cemetery plans are interesting to say the least.



Nice spot under tree. Lots are 8 spaces of 4' by 10' each. $1,000 for the two of them. Gretchens' mother passed in 2008. They will set the stone/urn holder in about 6 months. We threw some extra money for a granite bench to sit at.



This is just an example of another similar, but will be essentially the same. Gretchen can have her mother at rest finally, in a nice spot. Monumental works including bench run about $7,000.


Paid for direct cremation for her father at the funeral home. Unfortunately there will be nobody at the service. Shy of $2,000.

A reminder to be kind to others and value life over assets and cash at all times.

Sure is.

We took care of her father for about 6 months , maybe 3 or 4 years back. Even with renal failure and diabetes, she/we had him back to improved kidney function and better health. It took him about 3 years to go back to eating crap food, gambling his life savings away, and back into the hospital to where we are now.

Even in the year he's been back with us here, she has him on a diet to the point the doctor has taken him off insulin shots, thus beating Type 2 diabetes - but the diabetic retinopathy- the damage caused to the eyes by the crap diet, is to the stage that 2 eye specialists informed me it is not only dangerous, but pointless - conducting cataract or other surgery.

We took the keys from him shortly before he came to stay with us to save an avoidable accident.

Quit claim deeded his house to his grandson, as his wife would have wanted - and I transferred ownership of his vehicle to the grandson also.

The burial policy/plot/monument works are essentially to spend his account down to a "Less than $999" level before the state takes over finances before he moves into a care facility.

This is a hard decision - the man has been a narcissistic, selfish, self absorbed POS his entire life, and contributed to his wife's early demise at 55 years old. by the time I earned his respect after coming into his life 18 years ago, I no longer needed or wanted it. She feels guilt because of her hatred for the man - loves him, yet can't stand him at the same time.

No other family is around to help - or care for the reasons stated.

The state will go back 7 years , so I've heard, but we'll deal with that later. I have to deliver physicians orders tomorrow to start the process, and see how it goes from there. Medicare has to be converted to Medicaid, the facility can help, and from a little personal research, appears to be the better choice in the area.

So - if I'm not out killing big figures with trucking, and whopper oversize loads - this is why.

Last 3 months - to be honest, I can't even stomach getting in that darned truck.
