This ole northern boy is heading down to GA to grab a load. I want to get as close as I can to the place so I can make it on Friday afternoon. Anyone know of any good stops around Bainbridge?

There’s a travel center on 84….. SP Travel Center. Or SB or something is the name of it

Yes, look for the "SP Truck Stop and Travel Center"...on US Hwy 84, just west of Bainbridge.
As you head west from town, it will be on the left (south) side of the hwy.
There, you should find ample and easy parking. They previously did a really good job there keeping the parking lot clean. Not so sure about now.
It used to have a pretty good cafe/diner inside; again, not so sure about now. I think the deli there still serves b'fast food.
Pass up on the Circle K at the intersection of US Hwy 84 & US 27--yes, it's a truck stop--but it's also a dump, too. You'll also find parking there a bigger problem, especially if you get there near/after dark.
If you do in fact find the SP Truck Stop parking lot to be completely full when you get there (but I doubt it)--here's your "plan B"--go over to the south side of town, on US 27, and park in the Walmart parking lot.
I routinely see trucks parking overnite there--that aren't Walmart rigs.
There are several restaurants near that Walmart, if you're interested.
