Interested in Tanker... About to start CDL school 25 July...

    I have heard the only two jobs you can get out of school for tanker is Prime and Schnieder... Is there any other company that doesn't hold your balls out of school one can work for to gain experience? I do appreciate their in depth learning facilities and can see how important it can be in the long term but I am not interested in making that big bucks while I make peanuts gaining my experience. I am a fuels driver from the Air Force and understand liquid movement in a tank behind you... I am willing to sacrifice if need be but would rather skip the middle man if it is possible in my location. I live about 60 miles south of Little Rock for those keeping score.     I’d check with your local fuel hauling companies. Call around and ask, you’d be surprised. A coworker of mine has only been driving for about 18 months, all tanker, and none with a mega. Good luck!

    Classmate of mine got on with Service Transport with no prior driving experience, they do chem/haz. Pretty sure there are quite a few though that will train if you attended a decent CDL school, even the ones that say you need a year exp. Best just to call around and ask.
