2 positives I have had this week working for Shaffer. This load paid 1049 miles, I only turned 1045 hub miles. And, this hurts to say, I am glad I was assigned this International. Mainly because it's a manual transmission and it has a Cummins. I have had the pleasure of passing other Creafers on long hills, not by a little, but be far enough ahead of them that they never catch me on the downhill side. I was grossing 78k on this load, and walked off and left another Shaffer in a Freightliner going up US395 in Cali the other day.
Itsbrokeagain, xlsdraw, runningman0661 and 7 others Thank this. -
Them "stalk cutters" don'
Them "stalk cutters with Cummins" don't stumble. Man gotta love an old Binder to get it out of it. -
I have had several requests for this so...

I was looking at a traffic backup(and the reason for it) around Gainesville FL on Google Maps, when I noticed this...this is the Café Risqué strip club in Micanopy...notice the name...I think someone forgot a 't' and an 'i'
And yes...I really was looking at a traffic backup in an area that usually doesn't get them

I know there used to be one by the Central Refridgerated yard in Conley Georgia and if your truck was in the lot you were fired. That was a long time ago though.

When I was at Silver Eagle/Arnold, they didn't even allow you to park your truck at any place with the name Bar and Grill. There was a C-store and bar in Albany, GA down the road from P&G that use to cash Comchecks. One of our drivers stopped in there to cash a lumper check he had, and they tried to fire him for it.(we use to hire each other as lumpers because they didn't pay the drivers very much to unload, but would fork over major bucks to lumpers...so Joe Blow's lumper service was in competition with John Doe's unloading for business)48Packard, dwells40, IH Truck Guy and 1 other person Thank this.

You said it, man! Those Moore trailers are pure junk and will likely get you ticketed.
