The guy in the Mack was bobtailing and he was backed up in front of my trailer. His 5th wheel was just a matter of inches away from the trailer.

I know. Someone brought up how sometimes trailers get left and drivers take their tractors home.

If I were bobtailing to a truck stop, I would park out front with the RVs. Your guy was looking for an opportunity to be a prick.

Doesnt happen often I'm bobtail in a truckstop, but if I am I look for ANY spot that isnt a full spot. Full spot is a last resort. Too many times get to a TS and fund spots with bobtails and an empty lot out front for them.

The problem has been traced back to a lack of quality control at the assembly plants combined with faulty testing processes. The solution from the executive level is to source cheap parts and replace upon catastrophic failure.

I think so. I know it's not just me where I would not park in front of another drivers trailer. Especially not by backing up to it. I would expect a disappointed owner operator to knock on my door and stare at me wondering what went through my head that made me think that was a good idea.

Now you see I thought it was a felony to mess with someone else's trailer and therefore, load. No idea where I got that piece of information, but have thought it for -many- years.

I'm not sure about that. I just think the guy saw an open opportunity to park in a busy truck stop while I was gone and didn't expect me to return before he hit the road.
