Part time can rapidly become 24/7/365 if a fellow can get things done unsupervised with a call-out and no call-backs these days. Do you have to be certified HE/AG/Diesel mechanic where you're at?
A model KW bobbed to SA CAT power and Marmon-Harrington 4x4 with mechanics crane body, being up in the Great White North and all. Couple weekends and a few frosties should be able to whip it out.

 

I've got my Journeyman papers, good to go there. Just debating about hanging on where I'm at now, sounds like there's some good things coming down the pipe in the spring.

 

Thats what i keep saying but after today it sounds like i maybe hooked up to the wrong pipe. Lol. More work for no more money. Nah, Im thinking thats not going to happen.
Ask the new hire what he thinks about that, oh wait he didnt last but @6 weeks... orenitation classes every 2 weeks says a lot..

 

If you are good at what you do and working for someone that recognizes it they will make it worth your while to not go do your good work for someone else.

 

I made it known to the boss that I want to move up to foreman/lead in the next year or so. If it doesn't happen, I'll likely move up on my own.

And do not make that mistake; when sent to "get me a peach limb switch". of getting one too small. Get a good sized one, get back ,get it over with.
