Hey if that is your plan, and it works, cool! Theme parks up north don’t stay open all year, but still make money. Not many roofers are fixing roofs in winter. Move on to other things. Same can be true with some of us. I work all year but make less than a open deck feller when they are working hard. Some work hard, play hard, some steady. If you don’t have customers calling, you probably should go fishing or cuddle up with the wife. Just doesn’t make sense chasing nickels.bryan21384, LoneRanger, Rideandrepair and 3 others Thank this.

Honestly while i admire people putting their wallets where their mouth is, and i truely honestly wish them luck. All this will acomplish exactly ####. Most likely its going to backfire badly if it aint shut down, and end up making life harder for those of us who are lucky or smart enough to find the good loads.
Oh well. Where is my popcorn gif....bryan21384, Rideandrepair, Tall Mike and 3 others Thank this. -
No, I know it will do nothing.
I'm protesting from home.
Unfortunately no protest will stop people from working for fuel money and a roller dog.
Too many of them out there.RockinChair, Flat Earth Trucker, bryan21384 and 4 others Thank this. -
I’m just going to say, it’s difficult to go into business at certain times, especially into one with a million competitors.
The big companies can cut rates, and make .04/mile after all expenses profit make it, say 200 trucks x 100k miles.
It’s why they can make it where one can’t, all you have to provide as a trucking company is service.
Doing what shipper/receivers need extra, drop trailers/unload/ all the extras helps.Rideandrepair, Another Canadian driver and Siinman Thank this. -

Funny thing I took a load to Nampa ID and delivered the load. Guy that unloaded me asks me how life was going. I heard you drivers are making a killing. I laughed a little and asked where he heard that. Said the news!. So I had to tell him the story of how bad it went from start of year to now. From the look on his face he thought I was full of sheet. Most everyone still thinks we are killing it since the news does not say much about it.
This will not accomplish what they are trying to do of course. If they do get on the news it will maybe open the eyes of the people paying the freight bills. They will now want to get those rates lower since they see it is moving for $2 a mile while they are paying 3-5 a mile to brokers. This may backfire and hurt us more!bryan21384, Rideandrepair, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this. -
Truck driver rates be like
Brokers be like
Boondock, bamanation, bryan21384 and 5 others Thank this. -
Brah, the .01 is all I got in it !
LoneRanger, Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Another failed protest? What's cheap for one person doesn't make it cheap for another. It sounds like yall want the government to control rates..
Why not protest stuff that really matters like wait times at customer's and the horrible parking issue.Derailed, bamanation, Opendeckin and 7 others Thank this.
