Idk, how you guys can eat Popeyes…..It makes me sick, Pilot’s pizza much better. I also usually take some food from home for at least 2 days

I don't do any fast food anymore except for Chick Fil A and it has everything to do with the attitude of the employees. I just don't trust that other places aren't doing nasty things to the food.

 

I survived on .25 Little Debbie’s donuts, and McDonald’s Dollar menu last recession. Those prices are long gone.

Had a late pu today. Decent load. $2400 on 822 miles. I get to Anonymous Logistics at 6:00 pm, an hour early. They tell me I need 2 load locks. Straps won’t do. Suggest I go back 60 miles where I came from to buy load locks. They also say my trailer must be spotless, since it’s a Coca Cola load. I ask them to inspect it first before I go chasing down load locks. They approved it. I pointed out that there’s some leftover hay behind the wall rail, and it’s impossible to remove. So they refused it. Lol. First time it’s ever been refused. I didn’t want the load at that point, and wanted them to refuse my trailer. So I find another load, 45 mile DH, picking up a load tomorrow. $900 on 115 loaded miles. Will be empty by noon. Hoping to find something decent to pu tomorrow. I’m just itching to tell a Shipper or Broker where to shove their load. Rather not burn any bridges though. Glad I got out of that load. Even though I still lost the day, not going to put up with BS, no matter how much it pays, or how bad I need the load. There’s always another load to haul.

 

I bid one conservatively high today. Broker gave the this is all they have in it line. Told him it’s heavy and going through the mountains. And did you notice the fuel prices? My snack prices are also through the roof. So I will dead head home on Thursday. No skin off my arse.
