Less surprised to see what is pulling it. In Dollar Generals defense, around here they are running their own fleet and supposedly paying 6 figure wages running daycabs and staying in hotels. Maybe they decided too many service failures weren’t worth the savings of using the starter companies to deliver their freight. I would imagine that some more experienced drivers wouldn’t mind working directly for them if the money is right.

well, first, it ain't a Dollar General tractor, just like nearly all Amazon/Prime are I.C's as well....

gotta be doing the "stupid dance"......with one another.

And 90% of the guys pulling DG trailers are idiots. It almost doesn't matter what name is on the door of the tractor is... same could be said for Amazon trailers as well.

i would say more than 90%....

this is all thanks to those revolving doors at the CDL Mills, and companies hiring them.

the word "professional", went away long ago...sorry that you are still mixed up with them on the highways.

I figure eventually Amazon will run dedicated independent contractors similar to the Fed Ex Ground model or stop branding their trailers. Those who are typically pulling the Prime trailers can’t be good PR for Amazon. I run the same routes and see the same idiots parked on the same shoulder nearly every morning.

I think he could have made it, if he’d taken all the room and jacked it.

But on a side note, i wonder how far the wreckers had to back up.
