So much misinformation here. There is high priority freight shipped on the RR all the time and it’s more efficient than truck. A 16,000 train with double stacked containers, or semi trailers gets to LA from Chicago faster than a solo driver on the same route.

So from shipper to receiver it's faster?

    Lol

If you ever ship high value or high priority cargo by rail ,you’ll regret it .

it might be cheaper but it won’t get delivered for many weeks .

why? I did a year as a conductor for BNSF, it’s very efficient and UPS uses them as a shipping option along with other LTL companies and they’re high priority trains that run 70mph on the mainline UPS has their shipping guarantee and the railroad meets it every time.

Hey, I love trucking and came back to it I get there’s competition. But having done both and an unbiased view of things it seems many people still think it’s the 1800’s when it comes to the railroad.

The government will order them back to work. I'd be shocked if they even make it to the picket lines.

What about all those trucker stories about not stopping in the Bronx because you’ll get your trailer broken into as you’re sitting at the light etc.

I spoke my part. You super truckers that know everything can carry on.
