Woman on plane wakes up to a kid drawing on her socks - but people slam her for no shoes

 

I learned something interesting on long international flights. Frequent flyers carry a pair of cheap socks, then during the hours long flight wear them instead of shoes. When the flight ends, the discard the cheap socks by leaving them on the floor of the plane and put on the shoes and socks they got on the plane with.
Chinese airlines even give you a pair of disposal socks to wear and expect you to discard them on arrival.

 

I put my shoes on the floor & under my seat.
I guess some travel is still restricted in China. Starting to loosen a bit due to people resisting the lockdowns.

 

We usually fly into Beijing and check on our condo; maybe stay a day or two, then catch a fast-train to another city for the remainder of the vacation. Fast train has overhead compartment for carry-on luggage and storage at each end of the train car for larger luggage.

 

Get to your seat, then remove shoes and put socks inside shoes. Then put on disposable socks. I can do this without my bare feet touching the floor.
