Hi all, my new Anytone is too big to fit in the CB radio cubby hole. My company does not allow "modifications" to anchor radio to dash. Anyone have ideas how I can get my radio installed? Thx in advance!

Found a great thread that answers my question:
Very simple answer to mounting CB, with no drilling holes in truckrabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Considering not a single photo in that thread still works, I'm glad you can find it useful.
I recommend smaller radios, like the new Pres Thomas that is full AM/FM and will fit into any CB radio cubby hole in any truck.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
That's too dangerous in the event of an accident.
You can use something like RC car servo tape which is a godzilla strength 2 sided tape. I taped a CB onto the dash of my Nissan Pickup and it stayed until I pulled it out like 5 years later. -
Obviously, you’ve never seen OG freight driver’s radios. Those guys used to have a STACK of equipment bungeed to the dashboards of those old trucks. The big dogs had a set of cables down to the battery box, powering it all. They used to stomp on everyone. Now, you’re lucky to see a freight driver with a radio, at all. Times have definitely changed.

Who said I never saw it?
I never said nobody does it, I said that it's dangerous.rabbiporkchop and ducnut Thank this. -
I remember seeing some LTL guys waiting for their company shuttle to pick them up at a hotel. Their radio setups were so big they had a small hand truck setup to roll them to the truck. LolJoeyJunk, rabbiporkchop and ducnut Thank this.

Yes! Haha. I remember seeing one of those guys. I was like “What the heck is that?”. When he told me it was his CB, I couldn’t believe it. It was a stack of equipment built into a plywood box, with a handle on each side. Just incredible, the level those guys were at.JoeyJunk and kemosabi49 Thank this.

My general lee has been velcroed on dash of cascadia for 3 years. It’s never moved.
I’d be more worried about that giant toolbox flying.JoeyJunk, rabbiporkchop and Timin770 Thank this.
