Any companys with real trucks

Never happen. He’s to good for that. His next request to go with a real truck is to get that job that only runs him between Dallas Texas and Eloy Arizona.

 

He really should go out and buy his own truck.

I remember when I first started out Western Distributing paid on par with what I was getting at Knight…they know there’s suckers out there that will work for free to drive a cool truck.

A few points from my experience trying to get on with long nose tractor fleets:

1. Most hire friends and family only
2. They make around 1k a week for w2 drivers; I talk to a couple of hopper and wrecker drivers at such companies
3. Mostly pneumatic, dump, oversized, hopper, and intermodal

It's actually easier getting on with a armored fleet that gets defense contracts where they just want proven drivers who can get security clearance. .. Believe it or not...

Those "real" plastic trucks will make you more money, especially with today's fuel prices. There's been youtube videos proving this.

 

Hell with the youtube videos....common sense should be enough. Besides, a brand new 389 or W900 doesn't do the job any better than a well maintained Century or Columbia would.
