I got it, just before I delivered in Walmart in Brookhaven...So did the guy that emptied just after I did...his delivery wasn't until the next day, but they authorized him to deliver. Didn't do any good, we both had to sit 8+ hrs waiting for an empty. Op's wouldn't let us bobtail out, or head to Monticello without an empty, even though they have drop trailers there. This prompted me to do a 34 there, since I burned my logbook to the ground in the previous 5 days. Now I'm sitting in KC waiting to unload Tuesday night. There are a lot of drivers here that are convinced it's Crete deciding not to let us deliver early, not Walmart putting a stop to it...Since I don't jump to conclusions any more, I won't comment on it...until it effects me that is.

Don't know if you are right or not SSB but think about it. When freight is running slow what better way to keep drivers from ######## than to put them on a bunch of Walmart loads with way more time on them than they need? Then when they need drivers to be available early because of an excess of freight voila! Dispatch sends you a message that they just got permission to let you drop ahead of time! They might even pile it on thick by letting you know how "lucky" you were and how "hard" dispatch had to work to get that permission. Again, who knows if it is true or not but nothing surprises me anymore.

Hey y'all.. I'm considering coming back from a hiatus and in talking to Lincoln have been advised that a pay per mile reduction has occurred.. I was half awake having the conversation to begin with, so it caught me off guard a little, but with this economy I'm not surprised.. Anyway the gal I was talkin' to sounded too busy to have a chat about it, so I thought I'd ask where the buck stops..
My question is, did everybody get a pay cut or is that only re-hires and newbies? Also, is this a temporary thing? And finally, what's the topped out cpm now? Ooh, and one more.. What else has changed since last July? Thanks a lotta.. -
There has not been a pay cut for existing drivers but they have been slowly cutting back the starting pay for new and returning drivers.Rattlehead808 Thanks this. -
"Crete" the motor carrier, an Acklie company, would not loan any other trucking company money. However, Union Bank, or someother Acklie owned financial institute may loan any other company money.moonshadow Thanks this.
