Fix the issues on the citation, and get better with your pre, and post trip inspections. Keep on keeping on. Nobody is perfect. I am far from the perfect driver/employee, if I was, I would command such a high salary nobody would hire me.

I find these post funny. Not bashing OP but someone with 10 plus years of experience worried about 1 bad inspection doesn't seem legitimate.

My ego is hurt just reading this BS.

very good post on honesty. Dont know you at all, but your post says a LOT. The trucking industry is wide open to you. YOU KNOW TRUCKING, period !! If I were reading this post and own a trucking company, I would contact you Immediately. sure we had a few things wrong with the truck, but your not going to get into a wreck, or hit anyone. Someone will find you, HIRE YOU, and not have to worry about getting a phone call on a wreck, or accident. The trucking industry is yours bud, good luck. Just a Very good feeling , a Great driver sitting there for a job. It wont be long, gauranttee it.

You are not only a truck driver, you're also a business owner. You have a skill that a lot of other drivers don't. I think unless an absolute BEAST of a company job showed up (Cadillac insurance, pension/retirement, great work/life balance), it'd be a shame for the industry to lose an o/o like you.

One bad inspection does not a bad driver make. Be more diligent and learn from your mistakes. This ain't the end unless you want it to be.

Yeah I dont want to pile on but Im assuming your CSA score took a massive hit. You were probably put out of service as well for the broken brake chamber mount. And Im guessing this all increased your insurance to the point its scary.
Justifying all these issues by saying your truck was inspected 2 MONTHS prior is kind of baffling to me.
Im not sure most O/O recognize how badly a few violations will increase your insurance rates. If they do know it they sure dont drive Ike it.
Calling some recruiters and being up front about your CSA points is going to be your best option. Nobody can really know who might hire you with knowing your new CSA score.

Not sure why going company would fix this, unless its purely financial from the inspection hitting your insurance/operating cost too hard. Stuff goes wrong no matter who owns the truck. Fix it and move on.

Tire issues arise out of no where. In december i was on the way home and someone told me on the cb I was getting a flat, I’d just checked them the last time i stopped, about 3 hours earlier, The tread, still deep I’d say 10/32, was separating on the outside and leaking bad.
I aired it up with my gladhand airline (super single) and went up the road 10 miles to a shop where I got a new tire.
But, if you’d got inspected they’d say flat tire, you didn’t do any inspection, same as a headlight, may have been working this morning, but it may be out now.

I’d just keep running on my numbers, if that’s what I wanted to do.

Super singles peel all the time. Especially the retreads. I can’t stand them for that reason alone. There’s been three or four times I’ve been pulling a trailer with a super singles on it. Did my walk around everything was great. Drive a few hour stop walk around again and the tire is completely bald. One time there was a tire with absolutely no tread left on it at all. Somehow it was still inflated. I don’t understand companies that use super singles. In my experience the rate of them going flat or peeling apart it like triple.
