Looks great - handles 30’ straps.

Wonder if they have a model to handle 50’ straps?

    Da Vinci Catapult

You could probably build one of these out of some dunnage, a strap, and a winch. Just make sure it doesn't throw the hook end.

Had a shipper in Arkansas that would throw 50 footers over a 14’ tank.
He would put some slack in the coiled strap, stand with back to load swing it a little the let it fly.
    I never learned the trick.

Trick is to use a dry van no strap throwing. :)

This is how Maverick wanted us to throw them, it acts as a "catapult" and takes a lot less effort. I always tossed them like a hook shot starting down by my waist because I ruined my elbow playing ball.

Guy would be so much better off to fully-wrap the hook end around the rub rail. That’ll ensure the hook can never come off the rail, no matter if slack develops or how rough the road.

I made the decision 45+ years ago to be a real trucker, not a door slammer.

    Yeah me too!

But to simplify the game I customized my flatbed and installed walls and doors. Even has a nifty E-track system for securement! It’s great!

But on a serious note, my vote is for that catapult/dunnage contraption for the 50 footers, Blair.

Might be time to retire and come to the door slammer side. Ha Ha
