My experience is that Megas tend to ignore regional classifications when it suits them. Expect them to test your boundaries by giving you loads into Chicago. If you say nothing, they’ll keep doing it.
Also, when I was at Marten, you had to pull through the shop for an inspection *every time* you came to one of their drop yards. One of the angry mechanics does it. I was written up once for having a single shirt and an empty Dorito bag on the floor behind the divider. “You’ve probably got more than this in the backseat of your car and I live in here!” I said to no avail.
The good news is that they have great APUs and take care of them. If you get forced downtime due to weather and have a good internet plan you’ll be snug as a bug in a rug.
They were anal about where you parked the truck for time off - they wanted it at one their yards and required that you take a picture of the steering lock in place and send it to the dispatcher. I sent the same picture for two years straight.

Thats how it always works... Never fails. Drive 2 mins passed ur 11 hour drive time for the first time... Guranteed to get pulled in for inspection the next day... Run over something in the road and get a flat tire.. Guranteed to hit a portable station set up 20 miles in front of you. .... Run a couple thousand pounds over gross and the only scale u known of hasnt been open for 2 years. Its guranteed to be open.... Its just the trucking gods playing games... Congrats on clean inspection... Dont be nervous. Them boys are just doing their jobs... Having confidence and respect and a bit of a personality that can break the ice, goes along ways in an inspection. As well as keeping all your paperwork in order.Lamborghini Owner Op, catdog45, austinmike and 5 others Thank this.

I am sure they have got you moved by now but if this happens again try shutting off the battery disconnect for a few minutes and try it after turning it back on. May get you rolling enough to make it to a shop

Currently at the Dallas Yard waiting for them to see what's wrong. Got towed in.
Also tried the whole disconnect battery for an hour then turn it back on to no avail. Seems shifter jammed real good.Last edited: Jan 20, 2023

Did you hear a massive air leak? Some of my companies spare Petes have been doing that. Seems to happen around 400k. It’s an air supply line to the transmission that breaks.catdog45 and newbietrucker91 Thank this.

It sounds like that home time parking policy can limit where they can hire people from. That is unless they have many facilities across the country.catdog45, Lonesome and newbietrucker91 Thank this.

New policy at crete? After getting unloaded being told to go park at truck stop because freight is light? Riverside, ca... may be joining newbie if this continues already told am this nonsense of sitting and low miles continues send me home and ill clean up... if u want drivers to sit pay up if your sending drivers to low freight areas charge the customer more for obvious added deadhead... this idea of drivers time not being condensate for at work when they have hours to run is insane..
