I'm feeling the same vibe as you about trucking...but growing up around Livestock haulers, ...I learned it's a TOUGH BREED ...the "Trucker Life"......gotta take the good with the bad and if there's ANYTHING that the military has schooled us on....GO PREPARED BROTHER!!...You should know ...RANGERS LEAD THE WAY...and Spec Ops ..has NO EQUAL.."SINE PARI" my Brother...
Respects & Best Wishes...Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
In my experience, those who proclaim they're "Spec Ops" are anything but. Just like my trainees who introduce themselves as "a hard worker" tend to not understand what hard work actually is.rockeee, 88 Alpha, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this. -
Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

You can PM me for any further questions on my military service record and my honor....if you have ANY...
And anyone else for that matter....If you HAVENT SERVED ...well, you know where you stand......ENOUGH SAID...
In my experience...the guys that try to get a bite out of Veterans..are kind of like the high school cadets who watched too much Bourne Trilogy too many times,..and let dad down with ####ty ASVAB scores or Asthma at MEPS...
We can all play the Bait game...but I will just leave this with an attempt at an olive branch...and say God bless and respects...and keep it civil Brothers...we are all in this together...Another Canadian driver and InTooDeep Thank this. -
not every veteran proclaims rheir service in nearly every post. very few actually.
and yes, prior service. which is my business , when, where, branch etc.HillbillyTruckerJD, gentleroger and Opus Thank this. -
With that said, I'll move on to the preface of this thread which was addressing Trucking Comms and PMCS depts....what is your take on the issues described by the original posting author?
Much respects...JD -
dedicated division 3rd shift support beats the #### out of otr 3rd shift support. dedicated side can actually do more than update the computer.
I learned quickly that its useless to contact otr support after hours. that was in my first 6 months. switched to dedicated at that point.
SNI served my well to get started. never lied to me. shortcomings yes but they were known before I signed on. gave me a solid base of safe driving. moved on 6 years ago and now make 100k plus , am home daily driving the same miles on ltl linehaul. I work 45-50 hrs a week.
now folks will say but you're night driving. virtually all of my dedicated time was overnight or very early start(1900-0200 to 0700-1300)Last edited: Jan 24, 2023
