Still trying to figure out my antifreeze leak, they found the trans cooler line bad this time, they ordered 2 days later they tell me dynamax I think is the maker name? needs to build the hose and will take 7 to 10 days, I'm like to put to ends on a rubber hose seriously wtf.
So I made a few phone calls and found a few out of state and will ship to me be here Monday. But know I'm down a whole week again.
This that hose that sits on top of the trans under the floor board so for me be impossible to get at to do any type of rig fix and it's leaking pretty bad.
But back to og post topic when our they gonna get the part stock back to normal levels, im half tempted just to start stocking parts in my truck, pretty sure one kw told me belts were on back order also. I just hope this the last hose for awhile, bad enough we killing ourselves over these cheap rates out here we still need to fight for parts too..
When will this truck parts shortage end?

Likely never. They figured out they can charge sky high prices and people pay them because the alternitive is to go bankrupt or risk a visit from the EPA with a fat fine.

It will get worse.
Now there is an average of 400,000 people retiring every year more than new people coming into the workforce. And it is accelerating.
Demographics say it won’t be back in balance until 2042.
Or until the manufacturers quit manufacturing parts overseas and start making them in North America again ( maybe five years).W923, bzinger, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
If it is an old truck just order all the hoses now so you have them. I would do that with a lot of stuff if I owned old.

I am ordering all kinds of parts to warehouse, putting in a lot of money to have a stock of parts because the dealers are telling me that they are not going to get some emissions parts or the suppliers are allocated a limited amount of parts to each dealer.

Can you not have this hose built locally?

OR just put a blockoff plate on it, theyre cheap, my trans cooler was bad so when i swapped the trans in dec, i did a blockoff till i could buy a new cooler, install and measure lines.larry2903, Rideandrepair, 201 and 4 others Thank this. -
