Yes. I don't know what their situations are or if they were getting what I was. I certainly didn't discuss it with any of them.

I'm not surprised they're switching the orientation pay to hourly since that's their big push right now, but it really wasn't fair for them to switch you mid-stream. They should have waited to start a new class on it from the beginning. Regarding on-duty time while waiting at shippers/receivers, it may vary by account, or line of business, but so far, I've had no push-back for staying on-duty.

As long as your satisfied with $1000 a week in 2023, you'll be dealing with the lies of outfits like this. Low expectations bring low results.

Having drove for them after I got my spinal surgery recovery was completed, I can relate. Unattainable goals/pay/bonus without skewering yourself, being given a truck with a van fifth wheel (that was FUN), and otherwise dealing with some REALLY bad tanks (went through 8 during a weekend move that were not even remotely DOT Legal, but told to move otherwise, but it's my CDL, so NOPE.) So glad I got out of that quickly, I missed and still miss flatbed, but the fear of repeating my spinal issues has kept me from reentering that workforce, sticking with being a local switcher now. That being said, it wasn't a bad idea to get training through them, I did it as a refresher since I hadn't touched a tanker since the military, but staying power especially with the fleecing financially is poor.

You gotta do it for the shirts at least.
I still wear them to work in.
I don’t think you can wear them out.
And people will tell you you need to shave. cause you’re a tanker, and you can tell them to call in on you.bzinger, LtlAnonymous, Lonesome and 4 others Thank this.
