North Carolina trucking company to shut down after top customer pulls out
I wonder how long til Tonn decides to use a variation of this story to decrease ALL driver pay?
(Saw this new story in another thread on TTR and it rang a bell)

Never stop on rr tracks

Looks like a contractor was pulling the trailer but that was the best outcome. Might as well have a damaged side panel than truck/trailer all spilled all over the tracks.

When I first went OTR at the old Silver Eagle(that became part of Arnold), they had a piece of a RxR crossing gate nailed to the wall in the orientation room...turns out one of their experienced drivers was crossing the tracks not far from the yard and the arm came down between the truck and trailer and he floored it, taking a piece of the arm with him... unfortunately he did it right in front of one of the Safety department bosses...but they nailed it up there to remind incoming drivers that those tracks are actually used and not to take it for granted that a train isn't headed their way.RussianBearTruckeR, Lonesome and silverspur Thank this.

Shouldn't the lights have gone on a bit before the arm dropped? That's generally SOP to give you some sort of warning...

Now we have to add a notation to get out of PC,and YM???
They are really pushing it with me.They keep adding things, and adding.Lonesome, RussianBearTruckeR and LowBeam Thank this. -
Just wait til they start requiring annotations on ALL drv/onduty/yd moves type of duty changes. Was like this before with the earlier versions of Qualcomm 10+ years ago.
Actually, I'd kind of like to return to manual txt entry for most things at the time of drive/onduty duty change. Fuel, unloading, arv shpr, etc. Getting into the "events" and manually annotating things later is a pitfa! Needs to be done at time of work IMHO, not later.O.Henry Thanks this.
