What eld do you have?

I use Motive, formerly KeepTruckin, good product, not cheap, went from 240 to 360 to 480 a year, includes gps tracking for ifta.

If your elog breaks you can use paper for up to 7 or 8 days I think. You have to order a new one and have it before your paper time limit is up or else they will probably just execute you at the roadside. I think you still have to be able to login to a website to get your previous logs up until the point it failed. @ZVar is an expert on this kinda stuff.

 

It’s not connected to the Truck as a true ELD but I use Motive as well Just for a log book. I like its ease of use.

 

Blue ink tech . Just have to buy the hardware from them to hook to your diagnostic port.. Its free after that unless u wanna pay for ifta tracking and everything else they offer

When I was paying for my own I used Motive, and now that I’m leased on they use Motive for everything. Dispatches come thru the tablet and the whole 9 yards.

 

Motive as well. Had it since I started 4 years ago and has worked great. I love the IFTA tracking but it is getting more expensive as well.

 

Only if the truck requires it. His truck could be exempt but he’s using the Motive app to make his life easier.
