I was doing 70k a year running only 1500 miles a week and home all weekend at a Russian company W2 when I left van. I would of had to do OTR at Walmart or Tyson to beat that pay. I have multiple referrals at Walmart but their OTR is the only thing that pays good; despite what you'll see on the internet; one of my referrals is a relative with 17 years at Walmart, and other is wife who is corporate

Tip: Russian companies don't let trucks sit... If you want to stick to van or reefer.. You can also look for layover pay companies. You shouldn't make less than 80k doing OTR W2

 

Good for you, living near Tampa FL will hang with PTL for now I don’t sit for long unless I want toit hasn’t be bad even with the slow freight be careful with that fuel ride easy bro
