One of my favorite TA’s closed..

Havent been through there in about 5 years, They had a decent burrito place inside.

 

Figured it was a toss up between that location and the one off I-77 X111 North Canton Oh for most nostalgic time capsule. I remember the one off x111 being an old union 76

 

#### that sucks. I’ve stopped there a bunch though not recently. The only truck stop buffet I know of to regularly have ribeyes on it. Plus 10$ off if your truck was in the shop which I thought was nice. RIP

 

####! First post here on the board. I saw the tornado news, but I haven't been to that part of Ohio in a few months. I am a new trucker but I liked this TA a lot. The same for Binghamton, NY. It's nice when they look different from, their corporate counterparts!

Shame on this TA... I hope it gets rebuilt!

 

Now the question becomes, will the city government grant the permits to rebuild?
With the anti-truckstop ferver going around, the city might want to be rid of all the drugs and prostitution that obviously comes with every truckstop.

 

So, that’s why all these small towns don’t want truck stops, they bring prostitution, garbage, crime & destruction.

 

That sucks. Thats one of my favorite truckstops as well. Haven't been over there in a long time

 

I remember when some TA's were little hidden gems. Others were complete dumps. Now they all are complete dumps. Petro is right there with them.
Thats the problem when these TS chains buy each other out. They get too big and go to hell.

Look at Flying J before Peelot bought them, Most of them were decent.
Anyone remember the Williams ? Used to have a few good ones before Peelot.
Petro used to have a decent operation before TA took over. Some were crap, but a lot were good.
Lets not forget about some of the smaller mom & pop outfits and smaller chains that were awesome. 99% all gone now for the most part.

Newer drivers have no clue on how it used to be. Now all you have is TA and Pilot and Loves. Other then fuel and a shower, they all suck.

 

The drugs and hookers are usually already there...it's the truck drivers that run over stuff, and throw trash, bag of poop, and piss bottles everywhere.
