I'm not sure of the question. I think you're asking if you have to keep track of your miles in NY for your ifta report because NY HUT? Yes you do. You also need to pay IFTA miles in New Mexico and Kentucky.Siinman Thanks this.

If you cross state lines, yes, unless you can buy a trip permit from that state you’re going into.

You need hut for anything over 16k, so a non cdl truck would need HUT but not ifta,

your home state IFTA decal [over 26000 GCWR] is universal...you will find NY on your apportioned registration

That's so hard. You pay HUT based on weight miles, then deduct the toll miles. I hated filing HUT!xsetra Thanks this.
