With inflation running at 10%, the past couple years, and now a ‘wage reduction’ that is a double kick in the testicles.

 

They know it’s going to set alarm bells with their employees but have no other option to stay afloat. With how crazy the cost of living and inflation went up this is a hit to the guy bringing down their wages I’ve had debates with the my company about the wage increase we had couple months ago is actually less than the inflation so we’re actually making less then you got guys that are getting their wage cut which is a double whammy. Sadly the only option for the driver is to stay where you’re at but look for other options and run away the moment they miss the first check. The companies on the other hand need to look for more dependable or profitable freight like specialized cargo I hear the companies hauling dedicated pharmaceuticals are still doing ok.
