    EXCELLENT point. If we can not move to a no tax state, we could no doubt "reside" in one - politicians do it all the time.

    I don't think they could fire you for refusing to sign it. Even if they did, it would look really bad in civil court case for them, when you sue them for wrongful termination and they have to explain to the judge that you were fired for refusing to accept a pay cut.

    sure they could.......especially in a right to work state. There's nothing that says a company can't modify it's compensation package.........nothing. And you are not 'terminated' if you quit because you don't like the pay. Like it, or lump it. Your choice

    ‘At will’ employers can’t terminate you at any time, for any reason(or no reason), as long as those reasons don’t conflict with any state, or federal laws.

    They can fire you for any reason they want to, or no reason at all. It ONLY can't be because of the handful of reasons such as race, national origin, etc.
