We need some kind of legislative intervention to make shippers post the rates for the lanes they ship freight, so when we contact BROKERS, we'll have an idea of what a BROKER SHOULD MAKE OFF OUR HARD WORK!!!
Because $2 a mile with prices in the stores going up and fuel, somebody is LYING!!!
WE NEED SHIPPER LANE RATES POSTED FOR TRANSPARECY!!!

Yeah, But you have to understand that some of the guys here got theirs. That means there isn't a problem.
-
How about a law that says truckers have to post their numbers so they don’t charge to much money. My point is people don’t want the government making those kind of law or having that much power. You want the free market to decide this.

What amount of loyalty do I owe my competition?gokiddogo, Siinman, Short Fuse EOD and 8 others Thank this.

Would you be willing to share your numbers how much your making? The goal of the game is this make as much money as you can. Why should that be any different from truck drivers to shippers and brokers? If it doesn't pay enough don't haul it simple as that.
Half of these O/O don't even have a clue what there cost per mile(CPM) is... -
Never heard the saying that a rising tide lifts all boats?
-
Keep in mind this….
Healthcare used to be left to the free markets, then the government got involved.
Anything the bureaucrats touch gets more expensive for all parties involved.
I presume you’re o/o, and control which lanes you run.
You choose which loads you take and reject those that don’t pay adequately.
Part of that is doing your homework, and researching lanes accordingly.
I sat for 20 minutes looking at load boards, and figured out basically which areas pay and which don’t, and was talking with an experienced owner about how it all works.
He indicated is often Necessary to hopscotch west to east to make money, but East to west usually paid well generally.
Good luckRockinChair, Ky Flash, Lite bug and 3 others Thank this. -

The problem is that there’s too many boats in the water. Until there’s a correction, then nothing is going to change for the masses.
I saw this coming and made a lane shift back in October. That allowed me to get my foot in the door at a large corporation.
Are you suggesting that I post the lanes, rates and who I’m working with?
