New Cdl driver GA

Schneider veteran here...1st OTR, then intermodal (Atlanta).

My latest gig: hauling fuel (but NOT with Schneider).

The general freight market has tightened up quite a bit over the last year--so (even with all those endorsements) you may have a real hunt on your hands.

FYI--you could do A LOT worse than Schneider OTR...if it later comes down to that.

It sucks being north of ATL because all the jobs are in south ATL. I think Yellow has a terminal in Marietta and theyll hire you

Another local job suggestion: visit Swift's terminal in Atlanta--and ask them about working for them as a local intermodal driver (there's A LOT of intermodal freight in the Altanta area--they may just hire you on for that--and a lot of that work will be home daily work):

Cartersville has Mills. Look in to them.
Also Kennesaw.
Also Werner runs dedicated beer out of Budweiser.
Also Heartland (which bought Mills) will be running out of Cartersville.

 

Brutal lol. You say to watch out for yellow but recommend swift. He could make more at mcdonalds than swift.

You could well be right about the pay at Swift--but intermodal pays more (been there, done that).... Some intermodal gigs can be rather sweet.

My vote sez....let the mafia bail out Yellow, again--and THEN (maybe) go to work for them. But right now would be bad timing. Why work for a "maybe"?
