Received an offer to sell a company. Is it a scam?

Ask them for their Dunn & Bradstreet number. If they're legitimate then they'll have no problem providing you with this information so you can look them up.

 

Same. I figure if its an important call they'll leave a voicemail. If they claim to be from a bank, insurance company etc that I deal with, I call back on a number I know is good and safe.

I trust nobody.

 

Why would anyone want to buy a mc#.Isn’t it worthless to anyone else since they would have to operate that mc# under there own dot# which wouldn’t reflect any information from the past?

I don’t know about a web site that will buy a mc #. What good is a mc to anyone? I understand you can transfer a mc but the dot # that’s attached to mine for example can’t be transferred.So if you bought mine my dot# couldn’t be transferred with it you would have to activate a new one in your name.So if you did that today it would show you went in business today my information or dot rating would not transfer to you.

Foreign countries who watch the forex and usd/??? Believe it to be down enough. They are trying to buy tangible assets for when it comes back up. Cold calling to find out if things are for sale is not uncommon. It's how I got my snow mobile in 2004. And other items over the years.
It's how trump bought 800 Achers in 08. And yadda yadda. Is it a scam I really don't know. But was it for sale before you got called?
