Anything I should ask while there tomorrow, never ran reefers before so if there’s something I should find out from the company as far as lumpers or things like that I’d like to know

If you've never done reefer duty before--I would suggest that you take really good notes when your teacher/trainer explains the details of how to use the trailer's temp/cycle control panel, at the exterior front left of the trailer.
Those notes will come in handy, later on....as you get used to doing reefer duty.
Ask them how often/when they want you to fill up the reefer's separate fuel tank. Also--are any fuel additives required in the reefer fuel tank for winter driving conditions where you will be running (I doubt it)?
Ask them if they have a "mentoring" program. I found a mentor invaluable to call with questions when I was a rookie reefer driver.
Orientation would probably be a great time to ask questions about doing "split sleeper" on your logs (if you don't already know how--this technique will come in real handy as a reefer driver). Also--ask your trainer/teacher with what conditions you can/can't use "personal conveyance" (the company may have its own policy with this feature).
I take it from the above info that you won't be running up in the northeast--so that should make starting out in reefer A LOOOOTTT easier for you.
If the reefer noise bothers you when in sleeper berth--good quality earplugs can be found at any decent drugstore or "dollar" store.
The deliveries and pickups that were all over the clock got to me--I found reefer (for me, at least) just wasn't a good home.
My prediction is--you will either love it, or hate it (there will be no real in-between).

Thank you for the advice I will definitely do that. As far as running the unit the guy who I did the road test with told that 95% of what they haul requires a continuous run so I’m no to concerned about that.
As for a mentor my dad has been pulling reefers for about 15 years now so I will call on him for any questions I have.
I’ve done split sleeper before also so I’m sure I will get a hang of having to do It more often now with the different appointment times.
I agree it’s definitely something that I will either love or hate but It is something I’ve been wanting to try since starting in the industry so I’m going into with a positive mindsetMidwestResident and Chinatown Thank this. -

Abco is BAD & HORRIBLE. Cheap, disorganized, 1 raise of 1CPM in almost 1.5 yrs, shorted many paychecks, dirty, debris filled trlrs that you’ll hv to clean out, etc, etc, etc!!
-
Any other bad Abco experiences out there ? Abco in Ocala,FL . Oh & if u don’t stay for 3 mos, these cheap ..ckers will charge you for the rental car u used to get to Orientation or the airfare to Orientation and the cost of the hotel at Orientation. They are really cheap & selfish, but the owner owns R&L Carriers & the Ocala World Equestrian Center on hundreds of acres w/ hotels & arenas & everything under the sun for horses , but I only got a 1CPM raise after nearly 1.5 yrs there. I then quit 2 yrs ago. CHEAP !!

Are u still at Rowland ??
