Doesn't surprise me. In my neck of the woods T-Force, ABF, and UPS are all in the same local as YRC and Holland.

What it comes down to is 400-600 linehaul drivers will see a modification to their job classification. They will be expected to work the dock and possibly peddle freight on a hourly rate as "utility drivers".

Quite splendid that such a small percentage of drivers will sink 30k+ jobs.

Only beneficiaries of all of this are the lawyers representing both sides. There is no way this will have a favourable outcome for us regular people doing all the work.

Just got to work (doing yard hostling). It's a pretty somber mood around here. Apparently they sent out a company wide email to all the managers detailing what we are discussing on here.

Freigjtwaves has an article that just came out and they are suggesting we will be out of money come mid July.

Yellow running out of options, sues union for $137M

Maybe Yellow will pull a CF move and shut it down on September 4th.......labor day. That was a pretty low move for CF, but I don't see Yellow rising to the occasion, either.
