They have carrier pigeons at the chicken house. All you have to do is open your window, they fly in, grab all 3 of your log books and bring them back (along with the ticket) and after they drop this off, you can roll your window back up.

I am going to fax my timesheet daily to every scale house in the country, just to be a team player. I don’t have FMCSA tattooed across my shoulder blades for nothing. I LIVE it!!!
This reminds me. I am 4 months behind on timesheets.Gearjammin' Penguin, tscottme and LoneRanger Thank this. -
Only on open deck...door slammers don't have to show it.

So, let me get this straight and understand your complaint. The DOT wants you to do your job within the regulations that have been on the books for decades, and are using technology to verify you're doing it...and the world as we know it is coming to an end? OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!! People had the same reaction when ELD's were mandated, and trucking is still going strong. Do your job, like you should, and there won't be a problem. After over 30 years in this game, I've seen a lot of changes and none of them kept me from doing my job and making a good living.

I’m not sure that was the point. I believe that it’s more about the FMCSA becoming even more overbearing. I’m even more happy now that my daily route has zero chicken coops on it.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I don't see how verifying you're doing your job by electronically checking your logs is overbearing. Now, if they made it mandatory to have a camera to watch you do your job...then that would be overbearing.

I think that they already have way too much power over us. I don’t have an issue with properly doing my job, but their nitpicking ways are just ridiculous. Why don’t they go after these other clowns that can barely drive a truck and run garbage equipment.
-
How can this be overbearing and overreaching but then have a whole group of people in this industry wanting the government’s help with broker transparency and mandatory detention pay? And want the government to fund parking? And want the government to force private businesses to allow bathroom access?
TurkeyCreekJackJohnson, W923, Accidental Trucker and 4 others Thank this. -
So you're claiming that you always 100% of the time log a post trip inspection. You absolutely never forget? The one time you forget and the next morning the scale pulls you in I don't want to see you on here #####in.

It says where required and/or applicable so either you wouldn’t get looked at if everything else was good and square or you’d get looked at more because you’d be missing information when the system feeds it to the officer.
