Trucking company profit margins have generally run around 4% historically. That's one of the reasons publicly traded trucking company stocks have generally lagged even when the economy was robust, the margins are too small and the industry typically too volatile.

As far as the question about holiday pay, the subject was brought up in the 1st quarter advisory board meeting. The explanation was as follows, The office and shop staff along with a handful of dedicated or local drivers are paid hourly. They get holiday pay. The reason for not paying regional or OTR drivers holiday pay is because we are eligible for quarterly bonuses. Some of those bonuses can pay out as much as $2500 a quarter. The hourly people don’t get bonuses every quarter, thus the powers that be feel like it all works out at the end of the day. I can live with that thinking.

Thanks for the response.

My guess, either pallets in San Antonio or pactiv in temple, both drop & hook. Also Goodman/Daikin in Waller, that's a good one multiple drops usually. Used to get romen noodles in San Antonio, but I guess we quit them. Fair warning, I've been in that area a couple times and they didn't have anything and wanted to bounce me all the way to Baytown. Hopefully they have pallets ready for yarunningman0661 Thanks this.

There was another place in temple also that we picked up steel from going to Kawasaki in Lincoln. Been awhile since I've been there though. Usually pallets or Pactiv
