Anheuser Busch products for me till death do us part because I worked for an AB distributor in the 80s as a road driver in my home town of Fargo nd running the st Louis brewery .
Back when truck drivers had pride in theyre jobs and the trucks they drove ....and how they drove .

Back when society made more sense, I ran a bar in Washington state. The drivers and the beer rep for AB were encouraged to have a beer with the locals and were even given a stipend to buy a round here and there. Lawyers have ruined that type of thing, but everyone looked forward to “Jerry the beer guy”.

Yes back then it was about the beer and good PR , now it's just about the money......and my generation was the the beginning of the end for AB otr drivers .
In fact the only beer distributor in the midwest that still runs they're own road trucks that I'm aware of is porter distributing ( Miller brands ) in Mitchell south dakota.
KZ distributing in Lincoln NE sold off theyre fleet about 7 years ago .

BigR and M22 rockcrusher Thank this.

Back in SC for a couple days of home time. Rolling out tomorrow afternoon to have dinner with my daughter in Savannah then unload in Ellabell monday morning.

Anyone hear the freight forecast for the coming week? I offered to sit at home an extra day or two if they needed volunteers.

    dwells40 and bzinger Thank this.
