I think you're right. And when you mentioned earlier that you thought they were responsible for spec'g our new trucks, I agree. I have seen several new COTC/Hornady trucks out here (not the usual green COTC color, more of a silver/gold color)...and they're basically pretty much the same as what we're getting in, only a different color.

 

Got my final container dropped this morning then sent 1 mile up the road to pick up 1 11' pallet of cardboard edge protectors going to Everett, then head to the yard to get my APU serviced, and hopefully some new batteries.


When watching the forum replay last week and when they posted this weeks anniversary list I noticed that none of the other drivers I went thru orientation with were listed. So, that means I outlasted all the other SPD drivers in class...shocking!!!

 

Something weird happened today. Dispatch called, but it wasn't my usual FM. The voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it until my FM chimed in...the familiar voice is our YouTube media guy, or our soon to be former YouTube media guy? He is training to be a FM (unless he is still gonna be the YouTube guy, but cross training to fill in when a regular FM takes time off or quits).

 

Managed to get to my delivery in Everett, unload the 1 pallet and get to the yard with 20 min left on my 70...now cue the Jeopardy theme while I wait for work to be done on my truck.

 

Just watched the weekly forum video...the YouTube guy is being trained because my FM is moving to safety and the YouTube guy will be taking over his driver board...this will be my 6th different FM in a year...(a couple were interim FMs while a regular one was being brought back up to speed)...I'm gonna miss my current one, he's a Marine (I always get along better with Marine coworkers for some reason) and dang good at keeping me rolling. Not sure if I'll work as well with the incoming guy.
