Yellow Corp trucking company shares plunge as bankruptcy looms (yahoo.com)
But the company has stopped picking up new freight from customers and is only in the process of delivering the shipments it already has in its system according to Satish Jindel, a trucking industry consultant.
“They’re clearing out the pipeline. They’ll be shut down by Monday, if not sooner,” he told CNN Thursday.LtlAnonymous, JoeyJunk, dwells40 and 5 others Thank this. -
Meanwhile, OD released their Q2 earnings, reporting a 72.3% operating ratio. Stock has climbed 17.6% since last month. My 401k, which is 75% OD stock has risen 23% since January 1st.
Time to buy boys! Monday's impending bankruptcy announcement is bound to jump XPO, Saia and OD stock by a healthy marginhotrod1653, Gearjammin' Penguin, JoeyJunk and 4 others Thank this. -
Between Reddaway and YRC/Yellow I had a good 5 and a half years, made some friends along the way. Ended up using 2 sick days for today and tomorrow, I couldn’t stomach being there anymore. Yesterday I hooked 9 sets of empties, the supervisor said to (keep) busy so that’s what I did.
Had me a good thing going for what I was doing at the company, one door closes and another opens. The emotional drain of everyone asking how much longer, etc really gets to a person after a while. Heck maybe they will rebrand and make a comeback with ole HNRY logistics, nonunion of course. Doubtful at this point but who knows, I know I wouldn’t ever come back.Moon_beam, Gearjammin' Penguin, LtlAnonymous and 10 others Thank this. -
yeah, i'd never trust any employer myself, that files bankruptcy, then rebrands and starts over again either.
it'll be just as hard a start up as say anyone else starting up for the first time.
then too, if those in charge, were responsible for the bankruptcy, what's to say that they are any better at getting the job right, the second time around..???
walk away, take unemployment, and look for work, move on, do look back, or go back.
same can be said for those people (i was one of them), that quit a job, then went back, cuz the bossman liked me and my running.
if i quit, i quit for a reason, and that reason was, it wasn't all that great the first time.
the second time around, it was like doubly worse.
i never made that mistake again.Still undecided, LtlAnonymous, JoeyJunk and 3 others Thank this. -
