I'm thinking of pulling into the weigh station to ask them for a dot inspection . Or is there any other way? Should I go to the Dot office, will I need to be attached to my trailer or can I just Bob tail? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
You have no inspection, so we cannot give you load.

Typically a dot inspection will only net you a CVSA sticker and frankly without annual yearly inspections done and noted on your equipment may just result in you being put oos right there....
Any truck shop...including most ts shops will do annual inspections
So If it was me I’d go that route.
I’m saying this assuming(which I hate to do) by your post that your equipment is Not registered in a state that requires state inspectionsmisterG, Keepforgettingmypassword, Sons Hero and 1 other person Thank this. -

Some brokers think that makes it all ok.
Even my insurance company told me i should volunteer for an inspection, i had 2, within a month of each other, but they’ve rolled off.
I just don’t do it.Last edited: Aug 3, 2023

If it’s a new MC number , don’t you have to have a roadside inspection done by the DOT within a certain time after activating the MC number ?
maybe that’s what he’s talking about ?Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
But a dot inspection to prove your legit
I guess dot authority and full insurance coverage and ifta reports and payments are irrelevantBean Jr., Keepforgettingmypassword, Rookie driver 956 and 2 others Thank this.
