I also worked for MD from 83-85. Was in my early twenties. Had a blast!! Met some GREAT co drivers, wish I had kept in touch with them.always stayed at the Todd .Got to see 48 states before I left to drive local on the east coast. My name is Jim,used to drive #6332. Man we had some wild times in those days!! If anyone remembers that truck let me know!!

Arkansas flies were thick , big and just covered a truck, they would make the windshield a gooey mess if you used the wipers to try to clean them, you had to get out and wipe them off with paper towels and cleaner or at least some water. other states might have had them too but Arkansas was the worst I ever saw.Speed_Drums Thanks this.

I went out there, checked into the motel. They gave me a list of places I could go while in town and a list of off limit spots they would fire you if seen there .
I ate supper at their expense, went to all the off limit places . Then checked out and caught a bus back home. Screw that stuff !TruckerPip and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
