A dismissed charge is not a conviction.

I think the appropriate phrase for her begins with the word "gutter" not sewer.

If they dropped the charges, you can have them removed from your record. Contact the court that where you were charged. The court will advise you of the process to get it expunged.

Bonfire and beer. Couple buddies hanging out. Burning her stuff. Or could donate it. But that’s not as fun. Could be good karma though.

Plus, almost every application states convicted felonies, not charged felonies.

I’m speaking from personal experience… you’re fine. I have felony assault conviction and some felonies that were dismissed and still show. Just be up front and honest. Not everyone will give you a chance, but you only need one.

No, but they will sometimes still show up on background checks. Mine did for my TWIC and hazmat.

Depending on this process, start with obtaining proof [letter] from the clerk of that court stating that all charges were dismissed.

That can help until the expungement process gets completed as some places take a long time to to get this completed and like mentoned above with the TWIC some things never completely dissapear depending on who is doing the search.

You also might do this after an accident where some slimebag lawyer advises the other party [who was really at fault] to counter charge you with the same offense(s) they received.

Anyone can go to the PD and get you charged.

One of my company men was counter charged with reckless after being struck by a speeding vehicle that crossed the double yellow striking the tractor in the front tandem before rolling & spinning to the opposite guard rail and oozing across the side street to a tree.

Another driver has given his ID to the PD as a witness and got our charges dismissed while the lawyer got the other person's charges dropped to 'Unsafe Driving' a no point [buy out] option.

My guy's insurance wanted to quadruple his insurance until we got the letter showing the dissmissal
