The air line burst got me - I’ve never seen that before, and it was less than 4 year old line. Not in a place that got heat, chafing or flexing.

Boom, pssssssssshhhh, shoulder - locked up.

I can see it took off a 32nd or so off all of them.

I was on the phone with Gretchen, it was uphill east of Vail, CO - all happened very quickly, and couldn’t drag it much further off the road.

A- hole traffic, trucks included - even with triangles, two service trucks, strobes on truck and trailer - the amount that went by with ample vision and room to move over that didn’t.

Even the service guy was cussing them out by the time we were done.

Go to a shop and single it out with the rim to the inside until you can find another tire. It's not against the law to run a singled out tire if not overloaded, but it is to run a flat. I've ran a single out from Az to NC before. Unless someone is really looking they won't know you're running a single on that position.

I've had a lot of those days.... Especially in the old 7400 White in my avatar picture. I stayed under it more than inside.

A 245/70R17.5 tire will work in that situation as well; overall diameter is the same. I have used them on the same set of duals in a pinch.

You had the same valid point as @Oxbow - the other trucks have been running with 1 of 3 axles lifted, so it's legal. My mind then goes to relying on that one tire under there not to find a bolt.
