I'd say log hauling pays the best, during the summer I make $600 a day, home daily. Winter I make $800 to $1100 a day, but spend a few nights a week in the truck.

Plus you need guaranteed pay/week.

Bills don't take weeks off, why should your pay?

 

Don't have to work for them to know there a trashy filthy company, plenty of bad dirt on the net about them. And have you ever witnessed there drivers? They worse then swift drivers

 

See a lot of clueless third world immigrants in their trucks.

 

where do you haul logs?
we haul export logs and lumber in containers.
Took the job making $500-$550 a day as a company driver. Due to our main customer changing management and cut throat competition by third world immigrant companies we had to reduce our rates somewhat , but still make $450 to $500 a day
$550 on some import loads to Buffalo. Easy work , new trucks and cool owner to work for but always wonder about the economy nosediving and this going away.

 

Thx for the info. I planned to move close to the beaver dam dc. Now I don’t know. I clicked on reviews and some say 1,200-1,300 a week. I hv exp going back to 89 trained by a captain of the dot the pipeline co hired . And in charged of the worlds strongest hhg rig trk line as an extra deal to make more money. It’s tough on a driver with a lot of exp . Everyone wants to hire wotc people. I grew tired of running 2+ days searching for mts because a military driver doesn’t need to bring 1 in for a dh. And herring you old school guys can drive anything. Always get a beat down pile. True I can drive a tooth pick on wheels. I started driving on a farm as a kid. I ended up driving for the Chicago 1099 . The maintenance trks r beat it matches there safety rating. But you will make more than a w2 job. Because of the Elog cheats & the trks r faster. But now there not paying .80+ anymore. So I,m looking at w2 jobs again.
