And that's without permits isn't it's?

 

No, they are permitted, a lot of em actually have 105500GVW on the side of their trucks with DOT number

 

Legal-smegal. When I pulled chickens, our 5 axle vehicles(daycabs) would regularly weigh 100k+, until one rookie DOT cop decided to risk his equipment getting pooped on and weighed one. Then we had to run legal...for a while, until they stopped checking.

And the feed truck drivers were paid by the ton delivered. It wasn't uncommon for those 5 axle feed trucks to be well into the 100k's.

 

Same with rock haulers.. paid by the ton back when I did it, and no way to axle out even if ya wanted to. That's when I first learned the art of dodging scales ( later perfected with Foodservice!) Then there's the road construction jobs, hourly picking up concrete from interstate demos. They just load ya till its full, couldn't even guess how heavy some of those were
