There is absolutely no excuse in the world for that kind of shoddy work… It’s almost next to impossible anymore to find a shop that knows what the heck they’re doing anymore
dwells40, MidWest_MacDaddy, BigR and 4 others Thank this. -
Wouldn't happen to be a Series 60, would it?IH9300SBA, Speed_Drums, BigR and 2 others Thank this.

10.4...the reason I asked is the old style series 60 valve cover gasket was a royal PITA to get sealed right, and you only found out it was wrong after the engine heated up, cooled then heated up again.

It's in a bay already, but their only open 7-5 here, so I'm back in a hotel. Probably for a couple nights this time. Ran ok coming back, till I got to their driveway, shutdown by the time I dropped my trailer. Manager got in and took a photo of the mystery light everyone keeps telling me they've never heard of, then it shutdown twice on him before he could get in the shop. By the time he got in a bay and plugged in.. NO ACTIVE CODES! they thought this morning the issue was the front harness Omaha left loose, but apparently there's more where that came from cause it never gave me any trouble till it went in there... and the mystery light that always shows up first is "impaired powertrain function" so I guarantee there's a harness or connector loose or broken from the tranny forward somewhere, they had the tranny out and the Same guys left a harness loose on the front, doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out we might wanna start looking there also!!.. I think I finally got my point across to all parties involved, got a little frustrated today!... and I'm not going back to NE as planned for oil change, ect. Shane tried to get me to change my mind but I've had it, these guys can do everything I was planning on doing, if Omaha Doesn't want to reimburse the oil change they said they'd pay for then F it! I'll just eat the cost, I can't afford extra downtime for a stupid oil change that was supposed to be done last week. I'm about to pull out whatever hair I have left!

The manager was pretty sure what happened with that. He admitted he interrupted his tech when he was reinstalling it and he probably forgot to tighten it. Doesn't matter now though, plenty of other problems lolMidWest_MacDaddy, IH9300SBA and bzinger Thank this.
