You got no switches in the yellow spot I circled?

Codes will remain until cleared - most independent mechanics will have the Cummins software to plug in the diagnostic port and read/clear.

Is the engine presenting issues - or you just want to know why the lights are flashing?

yes i have switches. One turns engine light on yellow and red. Other does nothing. while driving my yellow engine light comes on but seems to run the same. Went to kenworth and they told me no way to check faults in my truck with flashing yellow light so either they are dumb or something is wrong and wont flash for me

Key on, engine not running, hold your diag switch for a moment, if that doesn't work then key on, engine off, cruise control off, hit resume or set and hold for a moment.

There is a way to pull codes on it - I had one and did it.

Memory is fuzzy - those 2 switches I circled, maybe one was a CEL/SEL bulb check, and the other was shutdown over ride ?

Something makes me think it was key on, engine off, push ACC/RESUME and cycle clutch pedal - or some weird combination.

@Goodysnap - any ideas? I’m sure it’s somewhere on the internet. They’re just not that common a truck anymore.

I have the luxury of hooking up direct and don’t ever need to mess with flash codes. Waste of time for me…..

    Never tried it.

Every day goes by there are less guys in the shop that remember the tricks on the older stuff. It’s it bad I’m calling a 99 model truck old? But it is……to me.
